Exchange Programmes

IPPS Australia and IPPS Southern Africa have an established exchange program. As of January 2025 IPPS Southern Africa and IPPS New Zealand have entered into a similar exchange program agreement! The intention is to offer young horticulturists at the start of their career, an opportunity to gain experience of a different plant production industry, and to build a better understanding of the host country.

The chosen candidates will visit their allocated host country, Australia/New Zealand, for a period of about two weeks, where they will be hosted by the local nursery industry. They will attend the host Region’s annual conference or a symposium and will be visiting nurseries, public gardens and other places of horticultural interest.

Do you know a young horticulturist between the ages of 19 and 30 with a passion for plant production? Nominate him/her now! Click here. Nominations must reach our office by the end of November !

The IPPS Southern Africa board will each year select and sponsor four top candidates from the CV’s received to attend the regional annual conference during March the forthcoming year!
